The harbour city of Australia is one of the most photogenic cities on the planet and the arrival of Vivid Sydney only adds to it. This is a great opportunity for tourists and travellers to enjoy the real beauty of the city and with the festival coming to the limelight after two long years, the residents are more excited than ever! Vivid Sydney 2022 is the annual cultural extravaganza where a wide range of light projections, music concerts and inspiring talks  takes place across the city in various locations. There is so much more to look forward to! Here are a few attractions that will surely go unnoticed!

    Sydney Harbour

Recognised as the biggest festival of lights in the Southern Hemisphere, Vivid Sydney is arguably the most anticipated event in the Australian calendar and with the event being cancelled for the past two years the expectations are higher than ever. The harbour becomes a centre of attraction with multiple large-scale light projections, music shows and more. One can easily enjoy the best of these harbour festivities onboard a Vivid Sydney Cruise which offers front-row seats to the vivid lights including the Lighting of the Sails of the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge, Luna Park and much more. From a multi-million dollar catamaran and a classic paddlewheeler to a premium glass boat, the options are plenty when it comes to choosing your vessel. The best part is that you get to enjoy these harbour vistas from the comfort of your cruise and with freshly prepared dishes! You even get to purchase your favourite drinks and beverages from the fully licensed bar to further enhance this unique experience. This makes the Sydney Vivid Cruise a popular pastime activity during the festival so grab your seats at the earliest!

    Darling Harbour

Circular Quay is the place to be during Vivid Sydney. Thousands of revellers can be seen scurrying to Circular Quay and Darling Harbour to witness many large and small-scale projections throughout its buzzing promenade. One such attraction that is sure to catch your eye is the Sydney Infinity which is claimed to be the largest water fountain lights show in the history of the country. Gather across the busy promenade to marvel at hundreds of multi-textured jets and nozzles explode into shifting shapes and fan water fountains, all in sync to a soundtrack that dives deep into the very soul of the city. This jaw-dropping floating installation comprises over 250-metres of robotic fountains that can burst an amazing nine tonnes of water into the skies in just one second! This dance of liquid and light when combined with thousands of powerful LEDs makes for the perfect Instagram post!

    The Goods Line Tunnel

Vivid Sydney 2022 just might be the biggest festival the city has ever seen and rightfully so. With numerous festival firsts and large-scale installations, it  is no wonder that the festival is planning to be bigger and brighter than ever. One such massive-scale installation is Convergence by Mandylights, which will reawaken one of the city’s abandoned tunnels with laser light projections. The Goods Line Tunnel from the city’s past will be embellished with more than 100 custom-designed lasers, producing an infinite number of bouncing laser rays that change constantly! This experience of psychedelia with colour, laser and drifting haze illuminating the dark walls of the old railway tunnel is the ultimate backdrop to gather those likes on the ‘gram!
