Sydney’s Ultimate Itinerary for 2022

Even though it’s been more than a decade since I spent living here in the capital of New South Wales, I still audibly sigh when I look at the Opera House or the Royal Botanic Gardens. I’ve been championing my love-hate relationship with Sydney for a while now and trust me when I tell you this, there are some epic things to do and see here. Fancy dining, art, leisure activities, low-key adventures, music and entertainment, hidden gems–here are a few of my top picks to inspire your next trip.

    Sydney Harbour Dinner Cruise

There’s no better place to start your Sydney exploration than on the harbour. It stands as a beacon to many travellers and tourists from across the globe as it is probably where all the magic happens. Not to mention, two of the most recognisable landmarks in the world reside here as well. Yep, this is that one place you just can't miss out on. And it is even better at night. When the sun sets and the lights start to come on one by one, the city’s true beauty comes to light. And the best way to enjoy them is to take to the waters on a premium Dinner Cruise Sydney and soak in 360° views of this panorama. A dinner cruise on this luxury glass boat not only offers unparalleled views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge but also a delectable dinner as well. Top it off with a beverage package and you got yourself a night worth remembering for years.

    Fortune of War

Sydney has that laid back vibe oozing throughout its vast coastline and if you're looking for the perfect spot for some bevvies you might be overwhelmed by the choices. Stay off the usual tracks and head for a unique pub experience at The Fortune Of War. This vibrant bar is said to be the oldest pub in Sydney and was built by a former convict all the way back in 1828. Since then, the bar has managed to retain its history and has held onto its quaint charm while still managing to build a solid reputation for its food and service. The bar also serves typical pub foods such as burgers and steaks along with a kid menu for the family. It is the ultimate pub in The Rocks to grab a schooner, enjoy a good meal and drink in a friendly atmosphere.

    Camp Cove

True, Sydney is a beach city but the crowds and competitive vibes of the more famous Bondi and Manly can actually get to you. That’s why it is important to know other alternatives that don't compromise the ambience or the views. Camp Cove, just  a short walk off Watsons Bay, is one of the underrated attractions of Sydney, where you can enjoy breezy beach vibes without the crowds. If you're looking for a quieter swimming area where families and topless sunbathers assemble, then this your best spot. It’s one of the go-to destinations for the locals and the perfect spot to just laze around and have a peaceful time. All you need to do is pack a towel, a good book, put on some sunscreen and soak up the sun and the relaxed vibe.

    Chinatown

Located in the Sydney suburb of Haymarket, Chinatown is an urban enclave that portrays how good of an influence the Asian culture has on the nation. You can find Chinese food of all kinds and more in Chinatown and the best part is that you don’t need to break the bank to explore it fully. You will come across a variety of eateries and food stalls inside this locale, but if you can’t make up your mind on what's what, check out the food tours that will guide you to options that will excite you.
