  June is a huge month for Sydneysiders. The month of frost comes with numerous winter events and whether you're a foodie, raver, art lover or a bookworm, there’s a whole lot of dates to save on your calendar. Festivals like Vivid Sydney and Biennale are already pulling crowds while other events like Sydney Pride festival and Moulin Rouge are gradually opening their doors in the Emerald City.   Darling Harbour Fireworks 

   

  After the sensational Vivid Sydney festival has ended, Sydenysiders might be experiencing some episodes of missing all the fun and excitement. But to keep it fuelled, we have the amazing Darling Harbour fireworks, recommencing soon on June 25. The fireworks will happen on every Saturday from the said date. Get aboard a Sydney dinner cruise on a Saturday to watch the mesmerising fireworks from a prime vantage point.   The legendary masters of magic are all set to make their premiere Australian tour in Sydney by bringing their record-breaking Las Vegas live show. The two maestros have been a resident in Las Vegas since 2001, selling out shows after shows and making guest appearances in TV shows like Friends and The Simpsons. Their latest TV special Penn and Teller: Fool Us!, is a worldwide hit, drawing comedians from around the world to showcase their skills in front of these magic masterminds. These bankable magicians combine hilarious gags with daring, provocative acts and with sleight-of-hand magic and illusion. Get your tickets immediately!

  Twilight Greyhound Racing

   

  In a weekly special event that spans till January 2023, Richmond Race Club will host greyhound racing every Wednesday and Friday Night. The club has successfully staged racing events since it first got its Galloping and Trotting Licence in 1911. The club has also given both Greyhound and Harness racing enthusiasts something to smile and look forward to for many years and now, they host over 100 greyhounds meetings throughout the season! Oh and don’t forget to take advantage of their inhouse restaurant, coffee shop, kiosk and bar!

   

  Sydney Film Festival

   

  The 69th Sydney Film Festival is set to descend upon us after a three year absence due to the pandemic. The city’s favourite movie showcasing is set to give the audience a taste of what’s to come as they are given opportunities to discover unique and compelling stories from far and near. A marquee event on the program comes from the legendary filmmaker Baz Luhrmann. His latest blockbuster, Elvis, a biopic about the world’s first music icon, comes straight from the Cannes Film festival. Other must-see films part of the festival are Blaze, a first feature film by award winning Del Kathryn Barton, Seriously Red, a feature debut by Gracie Otto and Shadow, a fascinating feature where disability activists propagate on the future of AI.

   

  Other Notable Events

   

  Moulin Rouge! The Musical is a Tony-winning musical based on Baz Luhrmann’s iconic film and will feature songs from the original movie as well as from Adele, Sia, Beyonce and more. Still in its opening days the event ends on October 23rd.

   

  After hitting the stages in York and Vegas, Friends! The Musical Parody is making its way to Sydney as well. This lampooning of the hit sitcom that graced our screens in the 90’s and noughties centres around the six characters as they navigate life, love and friendship once again!
