  For label manufacturers, the storage of shrink sleeve labels is inevitable, and reasonable control of storage environment is of great significance to ensure the normal production of shrink sleeve labels.

  It is difficult for label printing enterprises to have the same strict storage environment as paper mills, and many conditions cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, the environmental temperature and humidity for storing self-adhesive materials can be controlled at 18~28℃ and 40%~60%. In addition, it should be noted that the variation of storage temperature and humidity should be minimized as far as possible, especially when storing self-adhesive materials for fragile paper surface materials. If the paper self-adhesive materials are stored in a whole roll, the stacking strength should not be too large, and the stacking height should be moderate, which is determined by the compression resistance of the paper self-adhesive materials.

  Most film self-adhesive materials have more relaxed requirements on environmental temperature and humidity than paper self-adhesive materials. PE, PP, PET and PVC films have high water and oil resistance and little response to temperature changes. It should be noted that the film self-adhesive materials have lower adhesive absorption capacity than paper self-adhesive materials, so the film self-adhesive materials using hot melt adhesive are not easy to store in high temperature environment, otherwise it is easy to cause glue overflow. In case of glue overflow, it is best to wipe the powder or cut the edge before use, otherwise the adhesive will easily overflow after using the machine.

  Different adhesives used in self-adhesive materials have different requirements for storage environment. If the self-adhesive material uses hot melt adhesive, it should not be stored at high temperature because of its high viscosity, which is easy to cause glue overflow, but has little response to humidity changes; If the self-adhesive material uses water-soluble adhesive, its response to the temperature of the storage environment is smaller, and its response to humidity changes is slightly larger.

  Considering the climate and the high temperature and humidity in summer, label printing enterprises should pay attention to prevent the overflow of self-adhesive materials. In case of glue overflow, glue scale will be produced in the printing process. If the cleaning is not timely, the normal operation of the equipment will be affected. In some areas with high temperature and humidity in the south, special attention should be paid to the ventilation of storage warehouses. Dry in winter, with heavy dust, self-adhesive materials are prone to static electricity, which will seriously affect the printing quality. If the purchased self-adhesive materials are packed in plastic package, do not damage the plastic package during storage, which will effectively avoid electrostatic effect.
